I just listened to my Avenue Q CD and I’m feeling a little better now. The first time I heard it, I totally was able to relate to it. The songs are funny because they depict reality—like ‘Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist’ and ‘Schadenfreude’.
Also, Princeton’s search for his purpose mirrors mine and I guess everyone else’s search for theirs.
But my favorite song would be ‘I Wish I Could Go Back To College’, because it just about describes my longing to go back to those most wonderful 4 years of my life. Oh well.
I would love to see Avenue Q on Broadway! But of course given the astronomical prices of Broadway tix it's unlikely I'll get to. :) I heard they're doing a local production soon, though.
